General Information
Admittance & Name Badges
Registrants are
required to collect their name badge from the ASM
2010 Sydney Registration Desk at the Sydney
Convention & Exhibition Centre
immediately upon arrival at the venue.
Name badges must be worn at all times to gain entry
to scientific & social sessions. For security
purposes, the conference organisers reserve the
right to ask venue
security to escort from the venue any persons not
wearing an official conference name badge.
Business Centre
Neither the
Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre nor the
conference will have a Business Centre for delegate
use. However the Internet Cafe is
located in the Exhibition Hall
and will provide delegates with free internet
access during exhibition hall hours.
Wireless
internet access may be purchased from the Customer
Service Desk at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition
Centre.
Catering
All morning/afternoon teas and lunches will be
served in the Exhibition Hall of the Sydney
Convention & Exhibition Centre. Lunch is not
included with conference registration - tickets
required. Additional fee applies.
General
Terms & Conditions
The scientific and
social program and all conference information
(including fees, rates & charges) published on this
website are correct at the time of its last page
update but may be subject to change at a later date.
The conference organisers & the Local Organising
Committee reserve the right to alter the information
contained on this site as and when deemed necessary.
The conference
organisers & the Local Organising Committee will not
be responsible for registrations and/or abstract
submissions not received whether via the conference
website due to Internet Service outages, hardware or
software delays, power outages or natural disasters
or via another format. It will be the user's
responsibility to ensure that an official
confirmation of registration/abstract submission is
received from the conference organisers.
As a condition
of registration and attendance, the conference
organisers & the Local Organising Committee will not
be held responsible for damages of any nature
sustained by participants or their guests, visitors
or accompanying persons for personal injury or loss
or damage to their personal property as a result of
activities associated with the running of the
conference or its related events. Participants and
attendees should make their own arrangements with
regard to appropriate personal and property
insurance.
Attendees to
the conference should arrange their own medical,
travel and personal insurance as the conference
organisers & the Local Organising Committee will not
be responsible for claims by attendees.
Insurance should be purchased in your state/country
of origin. It is strongly recommended that at the
time of submitting your registration and making your
travel arrangements that you also take out an
appropriate insurance policy/s.
Messages
Messages for
delegates attending the conference can be left with
staff at the conference Registration & Information
Desk. Messages will be posted to an adjoining
Message Board and it will be the responsibility of
delegates attending the conference to check for
messages on a regular basis. There is no guarantee
that messages will be delivered personally.
People
with Special Needs
Every effort will be
made to ensure that people who have special needs
are adequately catered for. Please indicate any
special requirements on the registration form and
the conference organisers will do their best to
assist.
Smoking Policy
The Sydney
Convention & Exhibition Centre and other
venues/areas of the conference are non-smoking
areas.
What to
Wear
Smart casual attire
will be suitable for all scientific sessions and
social events.
