The Australian Society for Microbiology has a firm commitment to privacy in accordance with Australia's Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, which took effect in December 2001.

We will provide you with an option to have your contact details removed from any distribution list that may be made available to our meeting partners as part of their package benefits.

We will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information that we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up to date.

Security
We are committed to protecting your privacy and will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information we collect is protected from loss and misuse and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

Access to the information we hold
We will be cooperative, fair and reasonable with your requests to access your personal information upon request.

This policy will be reviewed from time to time and any amendments will be included in the updated policy.
