Information for Oral Presenters
Speaker Preparation
Room
The
Speaker Preparation Room will be located onsite at
the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre and will
be open during conference hours.
On
arrival at the conference you will need to visit the
Speaker Preparation Room so that technicians
can check your presentation and load it onto the
server. Preferably
you should do this as soon as you've collected your
name badge from the Registration Desk. However
if that's not possible or there's a queue, you can
try again later - but not leaving it any later
than either the day before or at least 4 hours
before you are scheduled to speak.
Presentation Time
Allocation
Generally the following amount of time is
allocated for each presentation type, however
you should refer to the
scheduling information emailed to you by the
conference organisers for exact details:
45 mins - Plenary
Presentation (includes 3 mins for questions)
30 mins - Symposia
Presentation (includes 3 mins for questions)
15 mins - Proffered
Paper Presentation (includes 2 mins for questions)
Audio Visual Equipment
All oral presentations must be presented via data
projection in a Windows
for PC based application
eg. Powerpoint.
Mac platforms, other than Powerpoint, can
not be accommodated.
If your presentation is in another platform, you are
required to save it for Windows or convert it to a
Powerpoint presentation
prior to your arrival at the
conference.
Each meeting room will be set up for data
projection using Windows for PC based
software, will be networked to the Speaker
Preparation Room and will supported by
a professional a/v technician. You will be
able to use your laptop in the Speaker Preparation
Room but not in the meeting rooms. Please also
note that slide projectors, overhead projectors and
internet access in the meeting rooms are all not
available. (Please advise the
conference organisers as soon as possible
if you will require any other form of a/v
equipment.)
Please avoid having to make changes or
modifications to your presentation when onsite.
IMPORTANT: If there are movie files within
your presentation, please ensure that you remember
to bring these additional files, as well as your
presentation, with you!
